About

Web work centered on clarity, maintainability, and results that keep making sense after launch.

ZauscherNet is William Zauscher’s web portfolio and services site.

William works across creative production, technical systems, and business operations, with a day-to-day life that spans video direction, live production, web work, and digital infrastructure. That mix shapes the way he builds websites: practical first, visually clean, technically sound, and easy to live with after launch.

The focus is on practical web work: clean structure, better content hierarchy, static rebuilds where appropriate, and deployments that do not become an endless maintenance burden.

There is also a strong preference here for speed, clarity, and restraint. The goal is to get websites done efficiently, with lean, elegant, well-written code and markdown content rather than heavy stacks, unnecessary complexity, or sloppy implementation. After many years of building and maintaining WordPress sites — including custom themes — the direction now is simpler systems, faster iteration, and straightforward deployment workflows.

That same practical mindset also extends beyond traditional websites. ZauscherNet can include web apps built to solve real-world organizational problems — tools for things like inventory, live information sharing, audience interaction, forms, internal workflows, and admin-controlled systems that help people do actual work more clearly and efficiently.

Built from real experience

My background crosses web work, live production, video, technical systems, and day-to-day operations. That mix helps me think about websites, apps, and interactive systems as real tools people need to use — not just pages that need to look finished.

I Like Clear Things

Clear pages, clear navigation, clear writing, clear code. That sounds simple, but it solves a lot of problems. Most websites get worse when they try to do too much.

I Build Around the Use Case

A portfolio site, a business site, a live dashboard, and a kiosk display all have different jobs. I try to understand what the thing actually needs to do before deciding how complicated it should be.

I Care About the Handoff

The project should still make sense later — when something needs to be changed, updated, moved, or extended. Maintainability is part of the work, not an afterthought.
